Minutes of the FUUCSL Leadership Group Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm SLT by Zyzzy Zarf.

Membership = 60 (no new members)
Visitor’s Report (Etaoin Barcelona)
- Approximately 10 new visitors a week
- We have a weekly ad (search Unitarian)
- Freda is posting and sending out notices to promote our events.
- 14 Members (some members have no loans) up one from last report
- 79 loans: No defaults, 0 full refund, 20 loans fully repaid, 59 loans being repaid (0%-99%) 5.6 loans per member
- Total Amount Loaned: $2050 US
- Increases seen in number of members, number of loans, loans per member and total amount loaned.
- The money goes to a good cause and we appreciate the loans.
- We will continue our outreach during announcements to inform and to generate renewed interest.
Lecture Series (Joan Ixito)
- There have been no volunteers recently.
- Lecture series will continue as peoples’ time permits.
- Information is needed if residents are leaving UUtopia as it has an impact on stakeholders in regards to inventory and expense.
- Zyzzy has renovated the dance pillows and revised ownership.
- The Service Leader can control the pillows.
- It is planned to make the pillows controllable only by authorized people.
- Fairy greeter provided by  Sofia  adds a warm touch.
- Etaoin suggests having Drum and Dance Circles to meet and greet new people.
- Tee suggests the possibility of an earlier regular pre-service event.
- The  Wikipedia article on SL contains a section on religion.
- We are a regular and active group and should be included.
- Darcy will draft a paragraph and will send it to the LG for review.
- A link will be included to FUUCSL.
New Business – None
Library News (submitted by Pomona Writer)
- There were 50 visitors to the Library between 8-10-11 and 8-31-11. A log is available from Pomona.The library has been attracting international visitors.
- There were 70 visitors to the UUtopia Library in October. Â Some of them were YOU guys, and thanks for visiting quite often! Â Most were unknown to me.

The next meeting will be Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 5:30 PM SLT. Â The change in date is due to peoples’ holiday schedules.
