The meeting was called to order at 5:35 pm SLT by Zyzzy Zarf.

- Four people have left the SL group and are no longer voting members. Suggestion by ZZ to make group membership an explicit requirement.

Future of Congregations: Sophia reports the possibility of UUA District Level Conference for “Congregations without Walls†next year.
Collection Plate Updating (Zyzzy Zarf and Sofia Freenote
- The average donation has increased since the collections plates were reconfigured in July.
- The average donation was L$167 prior to July 1st and L$221 after July 1st.
Visitor’s Report (Etaoin Barcelona)
- There are about 5 new visitors a day. Three a week are names not familiar to us.
- We are seeing new-to SL visitors who stop by one time. These are probably coming through the destinations list.
- Et has been hearing blog rumors of un ultra light web browser based version of SL that can be used for just a few minutes (think Facebook-like). This may be another application to introduce people to our Thursday Services.
- Pomona’s Library is # 7 on the Destination List and UUtopia is #12 (Tee’s note)
Lecture Series (Joan Ixito)
- Joan has been booking speakers when available.
- Beacon spoke the end of September and there are no speakers for October.
- Other calendars were discussed such as significant days in an earth-based calendar. This presents another theological and time frame challenge.
- Possible out reach to the neo pagan community separate from Joan’s monthly talks that focus on world religions and beliefs.
- Scheduling can be flexible as long as we have enough time to promote and list the event.
- Thank you to Joan or organizing the lecture series.
- Additional Thank you to Freda for the frequent activities she provides.
Meet and Greet – Tee
What we’ve done and where we are going in meeting and greeting new people to our congregation.
New Business
- Leadership Group Facilitation: Tee proposes a rotating schedule and will bring a plan to the October meeting.
- Calendar:Â The motion was made and approved for members of the LG to have rights to edit the FUUCSL Google Calendar.
- Spam in Groups: Members of the LG can eject individuals who spam after ensuring that it is deliberate.
- Halloween party planning in progress
