Minutes of the FUUCSL Leadership Group Meeting

Tee called the meeting to order at 5:35 pm SLT

• Previous minutes’ approval moved, seconded, and carried.

Treasurer’s Report – Sofia

Two items: The first is the usual treasurer’s report and the second is the annual financial report expressed in dollars, for inclusion in Tee’s annual report.

Fiscal year 2013

Deficit: Annual deficit of $406.36 would exhaust our reserves in 5.4 years if no other changes made.

Stewardship Report:

• At the end of 2013 we had 74 voting members.
• Number of pledging members: 24.
• Amount pledged: $530.00
• Amount collected in pledges: $580.00

Paid Presenters in 2013 include:

• Pcnewtown, Freda Frostbite, Darcy Cedarbridge, Tee Auster, Barsona Melody, Zyzzy Zarf, Kisu Ranu, Etaoin Barcelona, and Orikosh.

UUtopia Report – Zyzzy

• 2 x 4096 and 3 x 2048 parcels are available.

Outreach – Et

• Et is talking with Tandi Rodgers (UUA growth strategist)
• Et mentioned “related organization” and she mentioned that we may be a better mix as an “emergenging congregation” but I don’t think that’s the right term
• To be a “related organization” means some paperwork and $100/year fee
• We get put on the UUA website and we can get a workshop slot at GA
• We get to be in the banner parade for real
• There are about 100 “related organizations” now.
• It does give us more visibility
• Et would also like to build some more links with CLF

Annual Report – Tee

• The report is on track
• Unclear if this report is for FUUCSL or UUVW
• Discussion ensued about what UUVW is supposed to be, its relation to CLF, and why we’re looking at that anyway.
• Et thinks that UUVW is the next step in our evolution

Library Report – Bel

• We have been seeing a steady stream of visitors at the library. I put in another wall and placed the TV screen on it on one side facing the conversation area and a fireplace and seats on the other. I’m starting to put in new information to interfaith groups online and will start updating the bookcases soon.
• The display a Spirit Park is now free for 30 prims and we got a better location on the new sim.
• On Sunday January 19th we had our second annual World Religion Day Event. It was a huge success with 42 people at one time being at the event and more than that in total that came. We even made the What’s Hot Now list on Second Life’s start page!
• I have suspended the Tuesday talks temporarily until I can commit the time or find someone that is willing to lead them for me.
• I need to change the picture in SL directory for the library as it is still showing Pomona’s larger building. Not sure how to do that, I will have to research it. Since Pomona is the one that entered it into the list I hope they will let me alter it.
• I’m still transferring things to Luv so she can handle the assets for the library. I’m trying to make sure whatever is in the library Luv has a copy. I also put a copy of the welcome center in her inventory.
• Luv is Bel’s alt for continuity if necessary

Odds and Ends – Tee

• World Relion day was last Sunday
• there were over 45 avi’s at the presentations
• Peter set it up
• Desire was the moderator
• All the speakers once again were great too
• We moved to the lotus temple and had prayers for the earth.
• Much appreciation shown to Bel.
• Interfaith harmony was strengthened through everyone’s efforts
